If you're looking for more natural alternatives to freshen up you house, put together an easy DIY reed diffuser!
Here's what you will need:
1 small 3-4oz glass jar or container of your choice (do not use metal, see below)
6 tablespoons purified water
10-15 drops essential oils of your choice
6 tablespoons tablespoons 80% proof or higher vodka
4-5 reed diffuser sticks or bamboo skewers
How To:
**Due to essential oils naturally corrosive nature, it is best to avoid any type of metallic vessel and just use glass**
If you're using bamboo skewers, cut the tips off.
Next, Add the water and vodka mixture into the glass jar. Add in your essential oils. You can do multiple scents if you like. I did a mix of Grapefruit & Orange. Give them a good swirl in the jar and add your reeds.
Feel free to mix up different scents. You can also make multiple jars to have in areas around your house.
Try adding water safe crystals, dried flower petals, or even some small sea shells to your glass vessel to make them naturally beautiful. Place your reed diffuser in an area of the house where it won't be disturbed. Refresh the solution every 1-2 weeks.
